I am happy because:
- I survived another very difficult day.
- My car’s air-conditioner works excellently!
- Any time now I should have my child support check in the mail and should then be able to pay my rent.

I am happy because:
- The kids and I went swimming today. It’s one of the perks of apartment living. A pool that someone else has to take care of.
- Another perk of apartment living is the free landscaping services. I don’t have to pull a single weed.
- It came to pass, it didn’t come to stay.

I am happy because:
- Amber’s pioneer trek is next week. She is going to have a great experience, and I’m a little bit jealous. I hope she comes away with a new appreciation for her heritage, and the sacrifices the pioneers in her family have made (and not just those handcart pioneers, but the other types of pioneers as well).
- I love the YW personal progress stuff you can do online! I just helped Amber transfer her three personal progress manuals onto the online one, because we can’t lose that one! LoL Now I just gotta get Becca’s membership # so I can start hers online as well! She’s already made some progress to record, I’m so proud of her for that!
- I’m grateful for the talks today on the Sabbath. I’ve made some changes for our family, and the way we honor the Sabbath, because of those talks today and the inspiration I recieved while sitting there listening with my notebook opened up. It’s hard, sometimes, to implement change, especially when it’s YOU that has to do the changing, but I know it will be worth it in the end.

I am happy because:
- Somehow I managed to survive a very long, emotionally exhausting day, yet again. I am amazed that I managed at all, and I’m grateful for any and all help I must have gotten from heaven in order to do so. I’m exhausted. I hope that church is very spiritually filling for me tomorrow (technically today I guess) because I’m feeling completely and totally drained.
- Amber has been working hard on her YW Personal Progress. She’s actually accomplished a couple of her goals recently, because her Aunt Crystal taught me how to properly handle things and get results! I’m so thankful for that, and am very pleased with Amber! Becca, too, has been working on it, and will be done with one of her first “experiences” in less than a week! Yay!
- I made a cute, probably temporary, header for my business blog, using my old Paint Shop Pro 9 program and some cute “vintage clip art” from the 50s that I found online for free. It’ll do, for now. I’m pleased enough, I guess. The blog is still under construction, as I have to figure out how to customize, and also I need to decide on my exact content! I’m new at this, so it’s a challenge, but I know it’s the direction I’m supposed to be going in, so I need to just do it.

I am happy because:
- I don’t work tomorrow. I have Saturday off now, and that is totally awesome to me! I just might be able to get my house clean. Or some of it, anyways!
- Robbie’s one-step closer to an official take-it-to-the-bank diagnosis. You know, official enough to secure actual services for him. Yay for the booger-man!
- I’m so blessed to have a nice apartment, with wonderful air-conditioning, decent furniture, and one fantabulous sewing machine. Of course, this is not a definative list, just what I am most grateful for at this very second.

I am happy because:
- A friend of mine is having a baby any time now, and I can’t hardly wait to see the little bundle! I love new babies, especially when they belong to someone else (which means no diapers and etc. for me to worry about). LoL
- I will soon have my business up and running online! I’m very excited, and have a lot to get done in order to make it happen, but I look forward to getting things properly off the ground!
- The air-conditioner in my car has been repaired! It needed a new compressor, apparently. So yay for me and my little Aveo, no longer in danger of keeling over in the heat. Whew!

I am happy because:
- I had a nice visit with my kids’ Aunt Crystal, Uncle Luke, and two sweet cousins (Skylee and Paisley). Crystal is pretty awesome, and very fired-up about the YW program, and gave me some ideas of how to keep certain teenage girl(s) motivated. It was nice to have them over, and I wish they could visit more often.
- Today the weather was absolutely perfect for me. I loved that the air was so moist today, and that the sky was super overcast, and that the temp was nice and low all day. I was pretty much pain-free all day long (heat makes my fibro worse, at least that’s how I feel, I can’t tolerate it anymore, worse each year). I sat outside with the kids for almost an hour, just breathing it in, and watching as the sky occassionally gave up some rain.
- I am loving my new bank. My old bank gave me nothing but grief. My new bank treats me very well, and has a great online banking service that is super easy to use. I’m easily impressed, I suppose. But, still, great bank!

I am happy because:
- My daughter had a end-of-year concert tonight, and it was very good. I even cried, like a great big baby, during one of the songs that was particularly touching. (They played a great slide show with the song, and combined it was a losing battle for me.) A very good recital.
- The laundry is halfway caught up. Every once in a while I get very behind on laundry. This time it was particularly bad. So I’m happy to be halfway done!
- When you only work 5 days a week, the work week seems to just fly by. Funny how much shorter it seems, and it’s really only a one day difference!

I am happy because:
- I have been too busy to waste much time in front of a computer this past few days. It’s great! I enjoyed fresh air outside, working on a commissioned quilt, spending time with my children, and just generally keeping busy. It’s a good thing, I really do spend too much of my time on the computer, generally.
- I’m super exhausted right now, so sleep will probably come very quickly tonight. Yay!
- I have to snip the outside edges, and then wash/dry/wash/dry the commissioned quilt (rag quilt), and then it will be completed and ready to give to the customer! I’m excited, and hoping that the customer likes the quilt!

I am happy because:
- I have a very clean dining room, and a very clean living room, and a pretty clean kitchen as well. Yay for me! And thank goodness for my favorite housework helper, Becca, because she helps me keep on task. And she picks up the little things I get too tired of bending over to pick up myself. So, yay Becca, too!
- I received my Grace charm pack in the mail today. I now have a layer cake and a charm pack in this fabric, which I love, but don’t have a definate plan for. Um . . . bad Jody! But I love it, so I wanted to have it in case I think of something to make with it. I’m sure I can come up with something! It’s just another excuse to make things!
- I have been blessed with so much, I can’t even begin to list it all, but I’m grateful for my blessings, as varied as they are, even when they come in the form of challenges because I can see how my challenges have helped me grow, and I’m sure they will continue to help me grow, in all of the most important ways.
- Just because I love my children, and I just feel an overwhelming pride in them right now, my chest if fit to burst! I love my son, even when he is completely exhausting with his . . . quirky behavior. I love my daughters, even my teenager with the expert eye-rolling. And my other daughter who, like myself at that age, spends more time with her head in the clouds than is probably healthy. And my other little girl who adores all things aquatic, and thinks that I must adore them too, because we are related. My children bring me more joy than anything life could possibly offer me.
