I'm happy because

I am happy because:                 

• I made this today, without a pattern, but it still turned out okay. 
• I always know I can count on my dear friend, Stacie, to be in my corner, no matter what.
• My two oldest kids stayed up “late” tonight with me, watching episodes of “She-Ra” on Netflix.  We laughed, and even cried (from laughing too hard), at what passed for entertainment in the 80′s.  I assured them that their kids would laugh at their programs, and probably just as hard, someday.  I love giggling with my girls.

I am happy because:      

• I have a washer and a dryer, both of which work, which hasn’t always been the case for me.
• I have freshly-picked oranges in the fruit bowl on my counter.  I ate one, and it was very sweet and juicy.
• It was a good thing I got Amber’s Epi-Pen prescription refilled when I did.

I am happy because:                

• Theraflu is wonderful medicine.
• I squeezed a bunch of oranges today to make fresh orange juice today.  It’s pretty good.
• The kids did their Saturday jobs while I was at work, so we didn’t have to waste a lot of time with chores after I got home. 

I am happy because:    

• I completed one of my “UFO”s.  Yay! 

• I was offered four more shifts on a continuing basis today.  Granted, it’s not my favorite place to be assigned (bedbugs, ugh), but I can’t afford to be picky right now, so instead I’ll be grateful for the 12 extra hours this will give me.
• My boss thinks I’m fabulous, and even told me so.  I guess she’s not mad at me for missing work yesterday.  LoL

I am happy because:           

• Raman noodles make a good dinner in a pinch.  The kids love them, and they are easy!
• Robbie’s psych evail issues are fixed (for now)!
• The kids are being extremely well behaved tonight!

 I am happy because:                

• I got what I thought was a bill in the mail today, but it turned out to be junk mail instead.  I was thrilled to not get a bill in the mail for something today!
• My daughter told me I have a bald spot.  And that made me laugh.  I hope it’s not true.
• I was able to work on part of my snowman project today.  I’m stalled because I need to find my “square up” ruler, so that I can square up the center block.  This stall is a good thing, too, as it gives me an excuse not to stress out over any projects tonight!

I am happy because:        

• I was smothered with hugs today!
• I have been making plans for future sewing projects, which motivates me to work on my unfinished ones so that I can get started on something new!
• My son fell asleep like 10 minutes after his head hit the pillow, which is a first!  The boy is usually up very late, and then up at the crack on dawn!  (I just hope it’s a growth spurt, and not an impending illness!)

I am happy because:              

• My son makes me laugh.  He’s the sweetest little man, even if he is a bit gross now and again (toe sucking anyone? ).  But he sure does make me smile, and I’m so blessed to have his freaky little self in my life!
• I got to visit (but only briefly) with my sister tonight.  It was fun to get to chat with her!
• I walked a whole mile today (pfft!) on the treadmill at the apartment complex gym.  This might not sound like much, but it’s a good start, and is much better than nothing (which is my usual), so I’ll take it!

I am happy because:                

• Today was a beautiful day.  The sun was bright and happy in the sky, and the wind felt so very nice.
• Dinner was one of my favorites!  Lasagna, garlic toast, and spinach salad!  Mmmm!  Not only do I absolutely love this dinner, the kids do as well!  It’s an all around win!
• I’m amazed, but not really suprised, at the difference I feel today as opposed to last Sunday.  I missed church last Sunday, and felt so drained all week long.  I’m amazed because there is so much to be gained by church attendance.  I guess sometimes you forget, and it takes missing a day and then trying to get through the following week to appreciate it.  Why anyone would want to do that to themselves, I have no idea.  I’m so blessed to be able to easily attend my meetings each and every week.   And I’m so blessed to have the desire to do so, too.  I love Sunday.  And, best of all, I love going to church.

I am happy because:            

• I finished one of my “UFO”s today.  It was a small zippered bag, with a ruffled (sorta) front.  Yeah, I won’t be making any more of those, it turned out terrible, but at least I finished it.  Amber liked it, so I gave it to her.  She thinks it’s cute!  All I can see is the shoddy workmanship, so I was more than happy to let her have it so I wouldn’t have to look at it ever again!  LoL
• Started piecing together some really small (as in like 1.5 inches wide before sewing) rectangles today.  It’s for the embroidered snowman project I have been working on since before Christmas.  I’m very slow at these things, because I got side-tracked and just sorta put it away.  The person I intended to give it to, well . . . I just hope she doesn’t mind getting it next year instead.  It’s gonna be cute!  I love making things that turn out cute! 
• Today my son got second place at his very first ever pinewood derby for scouts!  Yay for the Boog!  I was so pleased to hear!  He was too tired after his day with Dad to tell me about it, but I’m sure he’ll wanna tell me all about it tomorrow.
