I'm happy because

I am happy because

• Amber came home from camp totally re-energized and ready to take on life again!  I could tell that the difficulties of life were starting to really get her down, so to see her all jazzed up and happy again, well, it’s a huge blessing!
• Today work went by fast, it was crazy hectic, but I was out of there on time and was able to pick up Amber from the camp bus shortly after it got there.
• I am so happy that Amber is home, I feel ready to tackle things, too!

I am happy because:

• Despite having a terrible day at work, I was able to have a pretty decent evening at home afterwards.
• The ladies over at the kids’ old school saved me a trip to pick up withdrawal papers from the old school by faxing them to the new school!  Yay!
• 15 minutes at a time, girl.  15 minutes at a time.

I am happy because:

• Today my “Daddy Allred” saved the day when he showed up and fixed my flat tire for me!  He did all of the work and even paid for the tire!!!  What does he want in return?  “Something delicious.”
• Today I went to the gym and walked 3 miles on the treadmill.  Awesome.  My knees are sore, but the rest of me is sore in a good way!
• Today I went to the pool and just sorta floated around a bunch.  It felt so great!

I am happy because:

• It smells like rain outside.  I love that beautiful it’s-gonna-rain smell!
• It’s very quiet in the house tonight.
• There is chocolate icrecream in the freezer.  Mmmm.

I am happy because:

• I made a new friend last night.  And I really, really like her!
• I have learned a lot about someone else last night, and what I learned has made me realize that I wasn’t wrong to trust some of my instincts.  That sort of affirmation doesn’t come to me very often!
• I dreamed about my breast cancer coming back last night, which really terrified me.  I woke up feeling so very grateful for my recent mammogram that told me I’m fine (until October when I need another one)!

I am happy because

• Today I was able to go to the gym for a little while.  I got a good sweat going, and according to the treadmill I burned about 200 calories.  Pathetic!  But it felt good anyways!
• I think it’s gonna rain tonight!
• Tomorrow I work only a half day, and then afterwards I am going to have an opportunity to serve a family in our ward who lost their son.  I never have opportunities to contribute, because I am always working, but this time I can, and I’m grateful.

I am happy because:

• I have a wonderful, wonderful mother!  She always knows just what I need!
• Amber is a wonderful, wonderful daughter!  She loves to serve, and loves her Gramma Jean!
• Today work went by very quickly, and tomorrow I dont’ have to be there until 1:30!  I’m so glad, this means I can run off to the gym before work!

I am happy because

• The Wii has this great game called Wii Sports.  On Wii Sports there is this hilarious game called “Boxing”.  Yeah, you get to punch the air, but you have to do all of these jabs, dodges, etc . . . and by the time you’ve played (and won) a few matches, well, you are plumb tuckered out!  And it’s a great stress reducer!  LoL  Plus, a bit of comedy relief as well!  Ha ha!
• Today I managed to get a lot of things done, not limited to but including setting appointments for each of the kids for wellness exams and setting an appointment for myself as well!  It’ll be great to go see a doctor who doesn’t have one foot out the door towards retirement, someone who, I am hoping, will take better care of his patients!
• The car did not overheat today, at least not very much, and so I was able to get a lot done!

I am happy because

• It rained last night, and I love it when it rains!
• The kids are all sleeping right now, so the house is quiet.
• I woke up early enough, this morning, to eat breakfast before work!

I am happy because

• Today I was able to sleep in, something that is a rare luxury for me.  I got plenty of sleep, for once, which is something I can’t usually say!
• I am reading  great book, A Single Voice, which is chock full of wonderful things that I would love to print out and frame and stick on the wall.  You know, really awesome quotes that would be good to remember!
• I have been re-approved for AHCCCS insurance for myself and the kids, which is wonderful!
