I'm happy because

I’m happy because:

• Tonight I told my son, as I often do, that he’s my little gentleman.  He made a silly face, kinda a half smile, and says to me “I know.   I asked if he was tired of me calling him my little gentleman, and he smiled really big and his cheeks got sorta red and he said, “No, I really like it when you call me your little gentleman.  If you didn’t call me your little gentleman all of the time, and if you called me something mean instead, I wouldn’t be a little gentleman, I would be something else!  And the only thing that would be the same about me is that I wouldn’t be able to stay in bed when I’m supposed to.”  Of course, this made me smile.  I gave him a great big hug and told him how much I loved him.  He then says to me, his face completely serious,  “Mom? Would you mind cleaning up a snake poo for me?  It’s really grossing me out.”  I had to laugh!  I love my little gentleman!
• Last night I had an opportunity to see a fun-to-watch (but sorta silly) movie with my two oldest daughters, and it was a lot of fun!  We had such a good time chattering about the movie on the way home, and just giggling and being silly.  It was great!
• I feel like I’ve found another piece of myself tonight.  It makes me wanna sing . . .   Dilly, dilly!

I’m happy because

• Today when I checked the mail I had a letter from my visiting teacher.  It was this really cutsie homemade scrapbooky card.  And inside was a gift certificate for Harkins worth $10 – which is pretty much the cost of one ticket!  Yay!
• Eclipse, the movie based on the third Twilight book by Stephanie Meyer, comes out tomorrow at midnight!  Because I got this really great card in the mail TODAY I can go to the opening night showing!  Whoo-hoo!  AND my mom is going to watch the kids so I can go and not worry that someone is going to burn down the apartment!
• To top it all off, the kids’ aunt Nichole has three free passes that she can use at Harkins!  She’s totally awesome, because she is going to share those passes so that my two wonderful and brilliant daughters, Amber and Rebecca,  (and herself of course) can go with me to see Eclipse!  Yes, I’m a Twi-hard!  Go Team Jacob!

I am happy because

• I was able to recieve a priesthood blessing today.
• I have a job that I am pretty good at, that I am proud of doing, and that I am thankful to have.
• Even when all seems hopeless, I know that if I can just hold on just a little longer the light will, eventually, come.

I’m happy because

• My mom bought me a huge amount of hotdogs!  And I love hotdogs, because they are easy!
• I have a working vehicle.  I remember when I didn’t.
• I can always find a song that expresses just how I feel.

I am happy because

I am happy because

• I have a pretty good sense of humor about the less-than-humorous things that happen in life.  Sure, at first I might be thrown for a loop, but after I recover I think I do pretty well!
• I had a delicious ice cream sandwich today at work, because my boss brought some in to share!  Mmm!  Hurrah for Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches!
• I got a letter in the mail today notifying me that I have a membership at the Museum of Natural History in downtown Mesa!  What a wonderful opportunity this will be for the kids to learn in a sneaky sort of way! 

I am happy because

• Though my own father was never the greatest at being a father, I have been blessed with many other fathers who have shown me what Fatherhood really is.
• My Becca is very giving of herself.
• The kids are extremely photogenic!

I am happy because

• Last night I got 8 hours of sleep, despite the fact I didn’t fall asleep for ages.  (This is because I didn’t have to work until later in the afternoon.)  Sure, I woke up bunches throughout the night, but I felt so amazingly energetic today – and I needed it!
• Right now, there isn’t a sound in the house besides the humming of this computer and the whirring of my ceiling fan.  It’s wonderful.  I have both!  AND it’s quiet, too!
• I am going to go to bed now, and I have a bed to go to!  It’s amazing!  I remember when I used to sleep on a couch (and not a very comfortable one at that!), so to have my very own twin sized bed with a pretty decent mattress, well, that’s super awesome! 

I am happy because

• Tomorrow I only have to work 4 and 1/2 hours (from 1 to 5:30), so that should be pretty easy peasy!
• I plan on getting to bed at a decent hour tonight.
• I have a printer ink refill.

I am happy  because

• My sweet baby is turning 6!
• I finally finished reading The Lost Symbol.  It was a long and grueling read, so I’m glad it’s finally gone.  It had it’s very interesting parts, mind you, but I’m eager to move onto something else!!!
• I am fairly sure that tomorrow is going to be a good day.
